PDO (polydioxanone) mono-threads are colourless bioresorbable sutures. They have a 30+ year safety track record for use in orthopaedic and cardiovascular surgery and for wound closure. They are inserted into the subdermal layer of the skin, in a mesh like pattern, to stimulate collagen production and create a tightening effect. The material is then completely absorbed by the body through hydrolysis (water breaks down their chemical bonds).
The treatment can tighten sagging skin in the upper and lower cheeks, neck, jawline, chest, arms, abdomen, brows, knees. It can also reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles that can appear around the forehead, nose and mouth.
